In short
Your Slack export is opened in your browser and never sent to us or anyone else. We don't use cookies, analytics or tracking. We only process data needed to deliver the website and to sell and check PDF export licenses.
1. Who is responsible
The controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Berk Buturak, Schellenstraße 16, 31812 Bad Pyrmont, Germany
Email: berkbuturak@gmail.com
2. Your Slack export files
When you open an export, your browser reads and displays it on your own device. The file and its contents are not uploaded to our servers or to any third party. The page's security policy only allows it to contact this website, and it does so only to check license keys (section 5). When you close the page, the data is gone.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. To deliver the website and protect it from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data of each request, such as your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser's user agent. Our own server logs record requests to the license endpoints and errors, and are deleted automatically after a short period. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and we have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare.
4. Buying PDF export
Purchases are handled by Stripe, which acts as the seller (merchant of record) of the license, including payment, taxes and invoicing. When you buy, you enter your details, such as your email address, billing address and payment details, directly on Stripe's checkout page. Stripe processes them as an independent controller; see Stripe's privacy policy. We receive information about the purchase, such as your email address, country, the amount and the date, to provide the license and help you with questions. The legal basis is the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legal obligations to keep business records (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
5. Checking license keys
Your license key is the ID of your Stripe checkout. When you activate it, it is sent to our server, which asks Stripe whether the purchase was paid. Your browser then stores the key in its local storage, so PDF export stays unlocked. This storage is strictly necessary for the service you requested (§ 25(2) TDDDG). You can remove it at any time by clearing this website's data in your browser.
6. Contacting us
If you email us, we process your message and contact details to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed, unless we have to keep them by law.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To use these rights, email us. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live or the one responsible for us.
